Chapter 37
To the Seventh
Floor
Translator : PolterGlast
I repeated the cycle
of sleeping, waking up, fighting, sleeping, waking up, and fighting.
As I did it over and
over, I naturally began to understand how to fight on the sixth floor.
It was also a big
factor that I got used to the monster called Grim Reaper.
After fighting many
times, the Grim Reaper was no longer an object of fear for me, but just a
monster for gaining experience points.
There is, of course, a
reason for this.
Certainly, the speed
of the Grim Reaper is so fast that it can enter the scythe range in about 10
seconds if it is noticed.
But I had forgotten a
certain fact.
--The obvious fact
that my agility is also increasing as I repeat LV up.
I noticed it during my
third exploration.
It was when I was trying
to escape from the four Grim Reapers, the maximum force on the sixth floor.
I suddenly thought.
(Can't I release magic
while running away...?)
And when I tried it...
I could.
Perhaps because I was
focused on running, it took a little longer than usual, but I was able to cast
the spell without any problems.
If you think about it
for a moment, it was a simple matter.
If the number of times
you can attack is limited because the opponent is approaching, you can run and
take the distance yourself.
My agility, which had
further improved due to the rapid LV up on the sixth floor, gave me more speed
than I imagined.
When I sprint at full
speed, I can reach about the same speed as that Grim Reaper, which I thought
was fast.
So, as long as I don't
make a mistake in the way, I can continue to attack unilaterally while
maintaining the distance from the Grim Reaper.
Once I understood
this, the sixth floor was transformed into an efficient hunting ground.
And today is the fifth
day since I explored the sixth floor.
At this stage, when I
thought that the level-up I could do on this floor had reached its limit, I
decided to challenge the four Grim Reapers to a fight.

Thanks to using Wind
Search a lot, the LV of Wind Magic has increased to 9.
I've been helped a lot
by this magic, so I think it won't be long before it becomes LV10.
MP and various stats
are steadily increasing.
MP doesn't increase
when I actively use home appliances and water at home, but so far, MP has been
increasing steadily.
Also, thanks to
running a lot, my agility has increased a little.
And another new fact.
It seems that the
attack of the Grim Reaper's scythe itself was a fairly powerful magic attack,
and my magic resistance has increased considerably.
However, I want to
avoid receiving that attack as much as possible... I'll try to raise my magic
resistance only when it's absolutely necessary.
In my hand, I have a
map that I developed from Varietta-san's map and added some additional
information.
This time it's not a
random transfer, so the way to the seventh floor from the place I came out is
perfect.
When I used Wind
Search... there was a group of four Grim Reapers on the way to the stairs.
I walked casually and
went straight towards them.
"Chain
Lightning"
"""Kyoooooo!?"""
The lightning split
and hit the four Grim Reapers perfectly.
I could see the hollow
faces of the Grim Reapers staring at me.
"""Koooooo!"""
The Grim Reapers are
closing in on me.
But one of them was
clearly slowing down.
--This is also
something I've just discovered, but it seems that some lightning magic spells
can paralyze or impede the opponent's actions.
Incidentally, only
railguns do not have this effect.
Perhaps this is
because it does not hit the target with the lightning itself, but with
something accelerated by the lightning.
"Railgun"
I flick the coin with
my fingertip while running back step.
The two melted coins
stopped the leading Grim Reaper.
Then I released the
railgun and defeated the second Grim Reaper.
The movement of the
third Grim Reaper, who was afraid of my attack, slowed down.
Then I mercilessly
fired a railgun at the third one, knocking it down as well.
And after killing the
fourth one, who seemed to be paralyzed, with a lightning bolt, I let out a deep
breath.
"All right,
that's a complete victory."
After that, I defeated
two more Grim Reapers and my level went up by one.
Feeling slightly
better, I went down the stairs to the seventh floor.
The undead waiting for me there was...
