[WN] Villainous Witch : Chapter 56

Chapter 56

Transformation Scene, Huh?

Translator : PolterGlast

Lotus's hand, reaching out to tell me to escape, swung through the air and grabbed nothing. "This way!" I was pulled by the scruff of my neck, and before I could even register my surprise, Lotus and I both slipped quickly into the doorway. Ichi and the others were already inside the room. I heard the sound of the door closing. Still being pulled forcefully, the one who had grabbed my arm and I swallowed our harsh breaths and waited for the footsteps outside the door to pass.

The boy who let out a relieved breath looked very much like me.

The differences were the color of his eyes, his gender, and his age. But even those eyes were exactly the same color as mine before they turned red. I remembered he was three years older than me and stared at the boy, who had changed so much from the last time I saw him, while still sitting on the floor. He should have been fourteen now. He might have been short for a boy his age. Even sitting down, I, in my adult form, was a little taller. But he had grown so much.

"Socius," the name I called was just a movement of my lips.

Since we had only exchanged a fleeting glance while falling from the tower, it had been a long time since I had looked at Socius this closely. The small room had one bed and one desk. The rest of the walls were lined with bookshelves. I was confused and couldn't find the words, my voice was muffled. "Eh, ah..." It was natural that he and I looked alike. Everyone in the village where I, Eldorado, was born and raised was like distant relatives, so if you traced Socius's lineage, he was connected to me by blood.

It might sound conceited to say myself, but Eldorado was a dazzlingly beautiful girl. So, even though his gender was reversed, Socius had an equally stunning appearance. He was completely a boy now, though.

Still held by his arm, I took a long breath. My hood had completely slipped off. We stared intently at each other. His expression looked almost bitter. "Y-you..." His lips trembled slightly. Mine did too. I didn't know what to say. But then, Socius shouted. Words he couldn't bear any longer, forcefully.

"Y-you, you, you... who are youーーーーー!?"

"Y-y-y-yes, exactlyーーーーー!!!"

I had accidentally remained in my adult Eldorado form.

The room was crammed with three slimes trembling and wondering what on earth was going on, Lotus, me, and Socius.

Socius had pulled my arm forcefully, thinking I was El since my face was hidden, when he saw me trying to escape with Lotus. He probably mistook my body size because he was flustered and I was wearing a pitch-black robe. It was understandable that he made a mistake... but I am El. He wasn't wrong.

When I had tried to break into the tower before San's abduction was discovered and had spectacularly free-fallen, Lotus had been on the ground, and they had even met three years ago. Lotus had quickly defeated the monsters that had attacked the village, and the two of us had fled. It was then that Socius had seen us.

Socius and Lotus knew each other, albeit slightly. The necklace on my chest swayed. Socius had the same one. Surely, that's how he realized I was nearby. I had completely forgotten about the necklace. Even if it was difficult to throw it away because I used its magic-storing properties for my illusion skill, I should have left it somewhere. I guess this is when you say, one could kick oneself.

There was no sign of anyone outside the door anymore.

Just as I was about to stand up to escape, Socius grabbed my arm tightly with all his strength, though his slender body didn't make it particularly painful. "Where's El! Where did you take her!" I thought Lotus moved, but he just let out a single breath as he looked at Socius's face. Ichi and the others were dancing around confusedly, saying "aiya yoi-yoi." I was too. But when I looked at Lotus, my feelings calmed down smoothly.

"You're not from our village, I don't recognize your face. But..."

Socius hesitated with his words. He probably said "our village" because my appearance, except for my eye color, strongly resembled the people of the village. My deceased mother, when I thought about it, looked a little like the adult Eldorado.

I slowly looked down at Socius. He was a little shorter than me in my adult form. His delicate face was flushed red, and his eyebrows were raised in anger. Or so I thought at first. But it was different. The hand gripping my arm was trembling. He was worried about me.

Socius should have known that Eldorado had become a demon. So, I had thought that upon finding me, he would hand us over to the lord of the Magic Tower. But looking at him, I didn't think so.

Was this small room Socius's own room? Many books were spread out on the desk, and there was a stack of papers on the bed. The walls, other than the bookshelves, were covered with written notes, and the traces of much effort told the story of the past three years. Still sitting on the hard floor, I slowly exhaled. His eyes were strong.

(It's not like it would be a problem if he found out now...)

For Socius, El was a demon. My current adult form also had bright red eyes, so it was immediately clear that I was a demon. There was nothing that would be a problem if he found out I was El now.

"...It's me."

But there was a part of me that thought, "Oops," at the words that had slipped out. There was no need to give away information myself. You never knew what might happen. "I'm El." Yet I was muttering the continuation. Even though I thought "oops."

Socius's sky-blue eyes widened. I remembered the color of Soleil's bright blue sky, rather than the cloudy sky of Cloudy Country. The arm he held remained as it was. A warm heat seemed to gradually spread to me. Hearing my words, the boy's lips twisted as if he was about to say something. That's when the wind swirled.

The wind, running rampant through the hallway, even passed through the room and went away. There was a small gap under the door. It slipped in, fluttering our black robes and blowing them away. Ah, aaaah~~~!! Ichi and the others struck sexy poses, making what looked like hands and crossing them in front of their bodies as if to hide themselves. Was this a transformation scene? You guys aren't even wearing robes anymore.

Lotus, probably deciding not to say anything, deepened the furrow between his brows, pursed his lips, crossed his arms, and as for me, though I had been sitting, a localized whirlwind had stripped me of all my robes. The Magic Tower was quite a difficult structure to live in.

I rephrased.

"...It's me, El."

There was no longer any cloth to hide my voluptuous figure, and seeing my revealing clothes, Socius's lips twitched as he looked at me with eyes that saw something unbelievable. His gaze was fixed. It was terribly awkward, and my cleavage was intense. But perhaps thinking he couldn't just keep looking, he shifted his gaze around with a bright red face. It was too much for a young boy. I wanted to disappear. "U," "Uh?" I heard something.

"Don't lieeeeeーーー!! There's no way you're Elーーーー!!?"

"As expected, you'd say that, huhーーーー!!??"
