[WN] A Hero From a Remote Village : Chapter 90

Chapter 90

The S-Rank Adventurer

Translator : PolterGlast

About four days have passed since our arrival in the Royal Capital.

We've been enjoying the city under the Guild Master's guidance, and honestly, it seems there are still plenty of places to see, but... last night, we received a summons from Salis.

Apparently, the Guild Masters from the other cities have all gathered, and it seems we're to meet at the Adventurer's Guild right away.

We were told that the top-class adventurers from the other cities would be gathered, and while looking forward to seeing what kind of people they are, we headed to the Adventurer's Guild.

"I wonder what kind of adventurers will be there. I'm a little scared we'll be out of place."

"I'm sure we will be. The other adventurers are probably all S-rank."

"S-rank adventurers... I've never even met one before!"

"Neither have I. There aren't any in Biodasdal, right?"

"No. I get made fun of for that all the time, but... we have Graham-san this time."

It seems they have high expectations, but I think an S-rank adventurer would normally be stronger.

I'm constantly indebted to the Guild Master, and I have a desire to show him a view from even higher than Salis's for once, so I intend to do my best if something happens.

"Just how strong are you, really, Graham-san? I know you're incredibly strong since I'm with you all the time, but... it hasn't really clicked for me yet."

"He's super, super strong! I think he's definitely A-rank or higher!"

"S-so he really is that strong!!"

"No, A-rank is looking down on Graham-san too much. I was an A-rank adventurer for a long time, but he's definitely S-rank or higher. I've also interacted with countless adventurers as Guild Master, so there's no mistake."

"Don't raise the bar so high. I'm not that big of a deal."

The Guild Master is definitely overestimating me.

I've spent some time since leaving the village and I know that I'm reasonably strong, but there's always someone better.

I'm probably at my limit age-wise, too, so being expected to do so much is a real problem.

"You have too low of an opinion of yourself, Graham-san. ...Well, I suppose we'll find out just how strong you are at this gathering, so it's fine."

"If the Guild Master is pushing you that much, then you must be strong!"

"His movements are just not normal in the first place! And he uses that insane magic on top of it. I can't even imagine someone stronger than Graham!"

The three of them have such high expectations, but I'm really not all that.

Scratching my head, we proceeded to the back of the Adventurer's Guild and headed for the First Conference Room on the second floor this time.

I can tell from the size of the door that it's a pretty big room.

And from inside, I can feel a very strong presence. It seems the S-rank adventurers the Guild Master mentioned are already inside.

"That bunch of Guild Masters will probably make fun of you, but as I said before, just endure it."

"That's my line. This is all happening because you got violent, Guild Master. No matter how much they mock you, you endure it."

"Yeah, I absolutely won't lay a hand on them this time. Well then, let's go in."

The Guild Master opened the door, and we followed him into the room.

Inside were three men who looked like Guild Masters, and next to them sat their S-rank adventurer parties.

A large, boorish-looking man.

This must be the man the Guild Master called Guanza.

Next to Guanza were five women, and while all of them boasted a fair bit of strength... except for the long-haired blonde woman sitting in the middle, I feel like Aoi or Ginia could fight the others.

Next to this Guanza was a very elderly man.

He looks kind, but if he's the 'Old Man Shiro' the Guild Master mentioned, then he's supposed to have a bad personality.

Next to him sat a group of four that looked like a martial arts troupe. On their side, a man with spiky black hair and a large man with a shaved head were giving off quite a bit of pressure.

All four of them were glaring at me, and I don't like their "stereotypical adventurer" attitude.

And sitting on the opposite side was an intelligent-looking man with glasses.

The Guild Master didn't mention this person, so maybe his personality is better than the other two.

Next to this man with glasses was a boy wearing a robe and a pair of women standing behind him.

From their atmosphere, it looks like two women serving a boy, but I don't know what their actual positions are.

However, the one emitting the strongest presence in this room is the boy in the robe, and the two women behind him are also quite skilled.

They're a three-person party just like us, but this party is a head above the rest in strength.

"What's your first impression?"

"In this room... that boy seems to be the strongest. The two behind him are also giving off a considerable presence."

"Heh, as expected of you, Graham-san. That boy is a prodigy who reached the fiftieth floor at the youngest age ever. He's also a noble, and the two behind him are apparently his servants."

"Huh. I thought as much from the atmosphere, so they really are two servants attending to a boy."

As I was whispering with the Guild Master and getting information from him, Guanza, who had been watching us, shouted.

"Hey, what are you whispering about! Just sit down already!"

A very unpleasant, bellowing voice.

I instantly understood why the Guild Master had snapped, but we ignored Guanza's words and took the empty seats.
