Burn Down the Human Trafficking Ring:
A Slightly Early Epilogue for the Other Side

This is a story I heard from Sigrun later. You see,
we needed to raid two locations simultaneously. If a raid on one side were
detected, the security level on the other would inevitably rise.
So we split up: I went for the boss's head and the treasure,
while Sigrun and Yashu went to save the kidnapped beastmen. This
is what happened on the side of the heroic woman Sigrun and the White
Wolf Yashu.

「That guy Shinza, I hope he
doesn't do anything reckless. Mu, to think the day would come when I
worry about others...」
「Grrr... Sis Sigrun, it's

I found out later, but Yashu used a Korruriha
leaf. The leaf that was garnishing that grilled whole chicken, the one that

Once the talk was settled, the heroic woman and the wolf
jumped from the underground tunnel into the dungeon. Ignoring the beastmen
confined in the cells at first, the two attacked the guards as planned.
「Rest easy; I am not using the back
of my blade. So, die peacefully.」
「Found the keys, Sis!」
The guards didn't even have time to resist. They were
slashed to death by the ferocious white wolf and the masked female warrior who
suddenly appeared from the darkness before they could even draw their weapons.
「Well done! I leave this place to
you!」
「Sis, be careful—kyan.」
There, Sigrun and Yashu split up. Yashu
took the secured keys and proceeded to guide the escape, while Sigrun
headed to the floor above.
Relying on the light of the lantern hanging at her waist, Sigrun
sneaked into the slave auction venue. It was late at night. It was dead silent.
「Ugh... Ah... Ugh, ah...」
She was going to burn this place down. That was the role
assigned to Sigrun. But suddenly, she heard a voice and rough breathing.
Quietly concealing herself, the masked Sigrun tracked
the source of the sound. And she found it immediately. The sight there made
blood rush to her head, and she reportedly had trouble suppressing it.
「Nn... didn't a sound come from over
there just now?」
「Shut up, be quiet. Don't be scared!」
「But, if it's found out we touched
the merchandise, even the boss will...」
「Ugh, ah... Stop, please, stop...
Agu?!」
It wasn't rape. A puppy beastman was being abused. For
sadists who like to torment the weak, [Wind of Yesterday] was probably
an ideal workplace. Ah, in the past tense, of course.

Teaching it the fear of human-samas. Instilling fear so it won't want to

The man's hand went for the puppy's throat again. Sigrun

black-horned woman jumped from the darkness and pierced both men's chests with
her twin swords. Avoiding the heart so they wouldn't die instantly, aiming for
the lungs so they would drown in their own blood, she said.

「I saved you. I am still lacking in
training...」
Sheathing her blood-stained swords, Sigrun helped the
beastman boy up. Or rather, it would be more accurate to say she lifted him
onto her shoulders.
「Wh... who are y... Cough cough,
b-breath, a, aaaaaah...?!」

evil. Burn!」
Sigrun had said
before. That Horned Species excel in intelligence and magic. She gave
some strange logic that she doesn't use it because she's worse at it than
swords, but while being a peerless warrior, she could also handle elementary
magic.

After shooting Firebolts into the entire slave
auction venue and the area leading to the salon above, Sigrun held the
beastman boy and descended to the basement. She also said later that slashing
with a sword is faster than magic.
「Picked up a bonus. Take care of this
puppy too.」
「Waited for you, Sis! Everyone is
outside already; let's go quickly, kyan!」
「My, that was fast work. Then follow
me, boy; you can go home with this!」
「R-Really...?」
「I will take responsibility and
return you to your parents. So come quickly!」
From there, Yashu, Sigrun, and the boy went
through the tunnel, and after concealing the exit, they emerged into the
sewers. Exiting the sewer to the south and climbing up to the surface, three
wagons were lined up there.
As a result of Sigrun's preliminary investigation, it
turned out there were over 30 kidnapped beastmen underground. Although
necessary, securing this transport wouldn't have been easy.

Even Sigrun boarded that wagon with the puppy. Our

brethren.」

before they track us! Onward, to the Beastman Country Kaha!」
「Sis is reckless kyan!」
Thus the carriage departed, and Sigrun, without saying anything to me, leaving it to impulse, journeyed to the far southern world...
