The Guild Master signed the document Spencer had
simply drafted, and with this, the Wishul Kingdom problem was resolved. It was
far too easy, but it was all thanks to the Guild Master.
「With this, the contract is complete.
From here on out, we will not send troops to the Gurzarm side.」
「Spencer, thank you. Things will likely be tough in various ways,
but let's both do our best.」
Just as the Guild Master and Spencer shook hands and
laughed with each other――the door to the room was knocked on with tremendous
force. Then, without giving Spencer time to reply, a guild staff member
burst into the room.
「Guild Master, a report!! According
to a message from the adventurers sent to investigate the border with the Gurzarm
Kingdom, the monster army is approaching! I received a report requesting us to
gather anyone who can fight immediately!!」
At this unpleasant report with exceedingly bad timing, my back was instantly soaked with sweat. I even wondered if it was a setup, but judging from Spencer looking the most surprised... it doesn't seem to be a setup, which makes me hate it all the more because it likely looks like we deceived them.
