----------

The Solis Family

----------

Count Solis von Darren (44 years old)

Takuhir's father and the head of the count family, with two sons and one daughter. An outstanding commander in martial valor, he was promoted from Knight to Baron for his military service during the Empire's first invasion and was appointed lord of the Estole domain.

He was originally a man who made his name through martial prowess and enriched his domain by leveraging his business acumen, but his standing changed significantly with the emergence of his second son (Takuhir). As a result of becoming wealthy all at once through speculation using market prices, rewards and spoils from military campaigns, and a booming domain economy, he began to fully enjoy the pleasures of a nobleman (visiting brothels). He has been summoned to "condemnation events" by his wife and daughter time and time again, but he shows no signs of having learned his lesson.

Unaware that his son feels a sense of guilt over the transformation from the father he once knew (in his second life), which was brought about by the change in history, he has now set his sights on the conquest of the Demon Territory Count's domain (all brothels in Teigoon, the post town, and Ishtar). He made a name for himself in numerous military campaigns, was promoted from Baron to Viscount, and then from Viscount to Count for suppressing the civil war.

Countess Solis von Chris (37 years old)

Takuhir's mother and a talented woman outstanding in domestic affairs, who was once the great hope for the future of the House of Cornell. Even now, she holds the reins of the Solis household, and the Margrave, who knows the circumstances, also holds her in high regard.

Through her second son's confession, she became the only one among his blood relatives to know his secret and his confidante. As a mother, she shows outstanding foresight and ability to act, such as arranging women (as wives) to whom her son can confide everything, in order to protect him. On rare occasions, she transforms into a Hannya (demon of fury) and condemns her husband or eldest son for their misconduct, but for the most part, she overlooks it.

It is said that the reason the town of Est became dysfunctional during the plague outbreak was that she was bedridden. Recently, she has been worrying about finding a husband for her daughter, who has strongly inherited her blood and possesses a combination of her characteristic strong will, political skill, and cunning.

Viscount Solis (Hastburg) von Darek (21 years old)

Since coming of age, he has held an undefeated sword arm, save for a single loss, earning him the title of "Sword Saint." His talent for military strategy and tactics, as well as his high popularity among the soldiers, led Margrave Hastburg to desire him as his heir. He demonstrated his talents as a general in the suppression of the rebellion and was recognized with the First Merit. His only loss—being pinned helplessly to the ground by his younger brother's wife—is a fact he tells no one.

A wielder of Light Magic and the young hero of the Solis family, he was promoted from Baronet to Baron, and then to Viscount as a result of his repeated exploits on the battlefield. He was granted the lands of the viscount and baron houses that participated in the rebellion and has become a landed noble. He is currently entrusted with a strike force, leading 4,000 cavalry as a general of the Frontier Knights.

He once held a complex about his talented younger brother, but he overcame it as he grew. He began visiting brothels to forget the deaths of his comrades-in-arms, but after being vehemently denounced by his mother, and especially his sister, he reflected deeply and practiced self-control, which enabled him to successfully escape the Restorationist faction's trap.

Demon Territory Count Solis von Takuhir (18 years old)

The hidden hand who used his past historical knowledge to save his family from dire straits and get the House of Solis promoted to viscount. As the lord of the Teigoon area, he developed the town and leads the mages he scouted himself, making full use of the knowledge from his previous life.

The town and the surrounding area, which were meticulously developed according to his intentions, overcame the ravages of war time and time again, and his name resounded throughout the kingdom. For these military achievements, he was promoted from a status of no rank or office straight to Baron, and thereafter received a double promotion to Demon Territory Count, a rank treated as equivalent to a Margrave.

Supported by the four concubines his mother arranged and the legal wife who was decided upon through the wishes of those around him, he is preparing for the coming confrontation with history.

Solis von Chrisia (16 years old)

Doted on by both her parents and her two older brothers, she has grown up skillfully switching between being an endearing daughter and being sharp-tongued. She is particularly attached to her second-oldest brother, who is close in age, and has developed the observational skills to perceive the subtleties of matters from the slightest change in his demeanor. She openly declares that her brother is "easy to read and kind."

Though she had a somewhat puritanical personality when she was younger, she has become more tolerant as she has grown, and she is genuinely happy that Takuhir has four wives, and even that the much-loved Yuka will be joining them as another wife.

Those around her say she resembles her mother in her youth, and as she begins to show her intelligence, her two brothers worry that their respective wives, who are close to their sister, will be "corrupted" by her. However, the two of them do not yet know that these three women are kindred spirits.

Solis Anne (28 years old)

One of Takuhir's four most trusted people and one of his concubines (the head concubine). At first, she found her master (husband), who thought like an adult despite his youth, to be eerie, and she treated him harshly and avoided him. However, after understanding his feelings, she has become his most ardent admirer, declaring so openly, and has supported him with all her heart.

She is usually calm and composed and does not show her emotions, but when it comes to her husband, she can instantly become "dere" (fawning/affectionate), though she is unaware that this stuns those around her.

As her master and husband's personal maid, she not only takes care of him but also stays by his side as a bodyguard with her master-level sword skills. She stands out as an indispensable presence, supporting her husband from the shadows, sometimes as a confidante and sometimes by rebuking him. Recently, following the advice of the legal wife, Yuka, she has been conspiring with the other wives to advance a certain plan.

Solis Miseri (25 years old)

One of Takuhir's four most trusted people and one of his concubines. She has distinguished herself as the head of the administration governing the Teigoon area and now bears the heavy responsibility of supporting the domain's management in both name and reality as the steward of the Demon Territory Count's domain.

Previously, she showed weakness, being encouraged by Claire under pressure or chided by Raymond, but after a certain point, she "awakened" and evolved to show a capacity and administrative processing ability rivaling Raymond's.

In the previous history, she was the only one of the current key figures, including the wives, to have accompanied Takuhir for a long period, and she worked tirelessly with him to support the faltering domain. Takuhir at the time had feelings for her, but due to the marriage restrictions imposed on nobles, he had given up on confessing.

Solis Claire (26 years old)

One of Takuhir's four most trusted people and one of his concubines. She is the oldest companion, excluding Anne, and has long been responsible for implementing the policies devised by Takuhir. It is said that while Anne is the one who understands Takuhir's heart the best, Claire is the one who understands his policies and the thoughts behind them the best, and the two are considered his twin pillars.

Takuhir has gone so far as to say, "As long as Claire is there to mind things, I have no worries about the home front." As a mage, she is deeply trusted by the other mages, and she has become a reliable confidante and source of emotional support for them.

Ever since being taken in from the orphanage, she has always respected Takuhir, and that feeling eventually evolved into romantic love. Because of that, her emotional ups and downs were large before becoming his wife, but after becoming his wife, she became able to see things more objectively.

Solis Yoltia (25 years old)

One of Takuhir's four most trusted people and one of his concubines. At first, she felt self-conscious about having worked in a brothel and restrained her actions and words, but after being chided by the other wives, she became able to carry herself with confidence.

She feels a great debt of gratitude to Chris, who rescued her from the brothel, and to Takuhir, who accepted her as his wife. Hailing from a merchant family, she is bright in commerce and economics and has risen to prominence as a support for Miseri in administrative matters. Furthermore, her familiarity with the affairs of the "night town" led her to create a reporting system, which she centralizes, and which now functions as an important part of supporting public order in Teigoon.

She is secretly training to protect Takuhir on the battlefield, having learned martial arts from the mercenary Kira—an Aikido-like style that makes it impossible for anyone to tell she is using gravity magic—and having learned from Anne how to deal with swordsmen. Her skill is such that she can defeat the Sword Saint Darek in an instant.

----------

Solis Camp

----------

Estia Raymond (39 years old)

He was a civil servant attached to Chris in the House of Cornell, but he accompanied her upon her marriage and later became the steward of the House of Solis. He demonstrated his talent in domestic affairs alongside Chris and contributed greatly to the development of the House of Solis. He was the first to notice Takuhir's talent and secretly supported him, proclaiming himself to be his greatest admirer.

He has also provided immense support in terms of personnel, working behind the scenes to realize Takuhir's policies, sending the talented Anne to be his personal maid, and placing the talented administrator Miseri in charge of Takuhir's projects. It is said that Takuhir was able to focus on domestic affairs as he wished thanks to his protection and support.

Estia (Cornell) Sarah (33 years old)

Hailing from a branch family of the House of Cornell, she accompanied Chris as her personal attendant upon her marriage. She possesses the bloodline skill of Earth Magic and was instrumental in supporting the development projects of the Teigoon area. In the previous history, she and the steward had feelings for each other but were not united. Takuhir, knowing this, and with the support of Chris who learned of the situation, proposed a way for them, and their love was finally realized.

Miguel

A comrade-in-arms who fought alongside Darek on the battlefield before his promotion. After suffering a wound in battle, he was hired as the Solis family's head chef. He was responsible for the development of dried noodles and the use of turnips as an ingredient, and he gave Takuhir the idea for the "pepper weapon" used in the later war with the Istoria Imperial Kingdom.

Workshop Master Gerd ( Foreman)

He set up a workshop in the town of Est, and his workshop grew rapidly by developing products requested by Takuhir. From there, many foremen were trained. He later became a workshop master with many foremen under him, and his workshop grew into one of the most prominent in the Kyle Kingdom. Even after Takuhir moved to Teigoon, he received numerous large orders and feels a great debt of gratitude.

Workshop Master Karl ( Foreman)

He was an apprentice to Foreman Gerd, but he became independent and became a foreman himself. With his outstanding skill, he handles Takuhir's requests. He took the initiative to move to Teigoon, opened a workshop, and has been active as a foreman in weapons development and commercial sales.

He was appointed by Miseri, who was given the authority by Takuhir, from Workshop Master to Administrator of the Industrial Development Department, and he became a key figure in developing Teigoon and Gaia into a major production base. It is said that without his efforts, they would not have been able to keep up with production or respond to the weapons orders Takuhir received, and he is held in high regard by the leadership.

Baron Weiss von Schwarzfalke

He serves as both the commander of the "Twin-Headed Hawk" mercenary company and the commander of the Frontier Knights branch, and is the supreme commander of the Demon Territory Count's army. He feels a great debt of gratitude to Takuhir and always supports him with his chivalrous nature, as well as in matters of strategy and tactics. His training is strict and he is called a "demon" (oni), but he seems to have something that captivates the "muscle-heads," and he has many worshipers.

He possesses the sword skill of a "Sword Demon" (Kenki) and excels in military strategy, and is highly trusted by Darek and the Margrave as a man of both wisdom and valor. In the "previous history," he became a general of the Gryphonia Empire and, against his will, ended up destroying the House of Solis.

In the Weiss family, it is tradition that those who excel in sword skills are given the name "Falke," and "Schwarzfalke" is a name given only to the most outstanding among them.

Kira

One of the two vice-commanders of the Twin-Headed Hawk mercenary company. She is one of the few women in the mercenary company, but her skills are so outstanding that she can overwhelm any ordinary man. She is not on the front lines, but she is highly valued by the Commander as a trustworthy person to whom he can entrust the home base. She has supported her allies on many defensive lines, and when Teigoon was attacked, she helped Takuhir's subordinates, such as Christof and Claire, and tenaciously held the line.

Father Grace

He was originally a priest of a regional church dispatched to the border region, but he was recognized for his contributions to the church in response to the plague and was rapidly promoted to Bishop of the Central Church (stationed in Teigoon). He is now in a position to oversee the border of the southern region. Takuhir refers to him as a "comprehensible and competent petty villain who should be made an ally," and trusts him as a "hard worker" who will do more than his investment's worth, as long as a relationship where gold coins can be provided is maintained.

Mages (Details separate)

Sigur

A wielder of the sword whom Takuhir discovered from the "traits" section in the history books. He is a male swordsman of the next generation who was sent to the Royal Capital's academy, to the knight training course, with his master. His skill is "Sword Master." He serves as a bodyguard within the academy and has the duty of reporting on talented students. In swordsmanship, he is one step below Takuhir, who is also a Sword Master, due to his lack of practical experience.

Karla

A wielder of the sword whom Takuhir discovered from the "traits" section in the history books. She is a female swordsman of the next generation who was sent to the Royal Capital's academy, to the knight training course, with her master. Her skill is "Sword Demon" (Kenki). She serves as a bodyguard within the academy and has the duty of reporting on talented students. In swordsmanship, she surpassed Takuhir's skill soon after enrolling, but she was considerate of her master and had been adjusting her stance to maintain an exquisite position until her third year at the academy.

Altena

A native of Teigoon whom Takuhir discovered from the "traits" section in the history books. She is a master of archery, and her skill surpasses many Wind Mages. In the crossbow shooting rankings within the Demon Territory Count's domain, she is in the top five, who are considered in a class of their own, and her skill is said to be second only to Lilia's. She is one of the talents Takuhir is secretly keeping in reserve.

----------

Hastburg Margrave Camp

----------

Margrave Hastburg

A powerful figure entrusted with the defense of the Kyle Kingdom's southern border, and a guardian of the House of Solis, including Darek and Takuhir. He was not blessed with a male heir, so he married his youngest daughter, Flora, to Darek and officially named Darek as his successor.

He has been in a continuously, overwhelmingly disadvantageous situation in the war with the Gryphonia Empire, and he is breathing a sigh of relief that his forces have been somewhat strengthened by the end of the rebellion. He is now working tirelessly to strengthen his forces at the border, including his own.

Hastburg von Flora (19 years old)

The youngest daughter of Margrave Hastburg, she is doted on by her father and is very close to Yuka and Chrisia. She has a quiet and laid-back personality, but her thoughts are more adult than her father realizes, and she is prepared to think about the future of the Hastburg house with Darek and to be its pillar.

After her marriage, she confesses her hidden personality and the secrets she knew to her husband, Darek, stunning him and taking the dominant position in their relationship from the very start of their marriage. The henpecked Darek closes his eyes, imagining that his brother and his yet-to-be-seen sister's husband will follow the same future.

Viscount Kirias

A powerful figure known as the Margrave's right-hand man. He married the Margrave's daughter and was considered a candidate for his heir. Although a viscounty, his domain is prosperous thanks to the boons of the demon territory, and his strength is noted by enemy countries as being equivalent to a count's.

He has a serious personality and is strict with both himself and others, which makes him a talented but somber and unapproachable person, and in terms of popularity, he was inferior to Darek, the other heir candidate.

The reason the Margrave did not name Viscount Kirias as his heir early on was that he was worried about his popularity and his ability to unite the various lords, such as Gorman, Solis, and Hiyorimi. This is a point that he himself was aware of. He is feeling impatient that two other houses were promoted to count and there is concern that he may overreach on the battlefield.

Count Gorman

He rules the domain bordering the west of the Solis viscounty. He excels in martial valor, and his subordinates are also formidable, having been active on the battlefield numerous times. Due to an unfortunate event, he developed an inflexible personality that could be taken as arrogant, but his true nature is clumsy but upright.

However, in front of anyone other than his daughter and son-in-law, he maintains his usual grim-faced expression and never smiles, so the rare occasions when he does are a great shock to those around him.

He greatly respects Takuhir, whom he desired as his daughter's husband, and feels there is much to learn from him. He is the first to actively adopt his policies and deploy them in his own domain, so his domain is prosperous and the level of his crossbowmen is very high.

Baroness Gorman (Solis) von Yuka (17 years old)

The eldest daughter of Count Gorman, born from his previous wife who left the family for the sake of the viscounty. As a result of growing up under hardship for many years, she has a compassionate and gentle personality and is the pillar of her father's heart. She has one side as a gentle and delicate sheltered young lady, and another side that holds the same courage as her father. During the rebellion, she commanded the citizens and was active on the battlefield.

She wields Wind bloodline magic, and her crossbow skill stuns her future husband, Takuhir. Also, when it comes to gambling and honey, her personality changes slightly, and Takuhir is sometimes at a loss.

When she met the Headmaster, she boldly criticized his adult cunning and ended up being liked by him. In her presence, the Headmaster loses his shrewdness and becomes a doting old grandfather.

Former Viscount Hiyorimi (Executed)

The head of the House of Hiyorimi, baptized by the Dark Clan. In the previous history, he was scheduled to die from the plague, but he escaped that fate thanks to the treatment Takuhir brought.

It is said that the rebellion he plotted would have surely succeeded if not for three unforeseeable miscalculations (his second son's escape to Fran, Sieghart's interference within the Empire, and the early, great victory in the eastern border war).

His end came when his mind was destroyed by Yoltia's gravity magic, and he was executed in that state in the Royal Capital.

Hiyorimi Lugner

The eldest son of the House of Hiyorimi, he, like his father, has been baptized by the Dark Clan. He excels at suggestion using dark magic and has played a part in the conspiracy by brainwashing those with weak or unstable hearts.

In the previous history, he was scheduled to die from the plague, but he escaped that fate thanks to the treatment Takuhir brought. In the rebellion, he cornered Teigoon to the point where it was just one step from falling. He is the only one of the rebellion's leaders to have escaped capture and is maneuvering to make a comeback.

Copper (Hiyorimi) von Erol

The second son of the former Viscount Hiyorimi, now the head of the House of Copper. In the "previous history," he was Takuhir's nemesis and betrayed his homeland, colluding with the Gryphonia Empire.

Due to Takuhir's historical revision, he grew up retaining his original feelings for his citizens, albeit somewhat distorted, and came into conflict with his father, who ruled them oppressively. Upon learning of the rebellion, he fled on the spot and solidified his resolve to uphold his loyalty to the kingdom and to sever his family's infamy at the cost of his own life.

When he had resolved to die and was prepared to strike down his father and brother as a final act, his demeanor was completely different from before, becoming what Darek called the "disgustingly noble, white Erol." After being persuaded, he has, in a good way, returned to his old self. He has reconciled with Darek on that occasion, but his subsequent relationship with Takuhir is unknown.

Viscount Cornell

He held a long, narrow domain bordering the former Hiyorimi domain and the Estole domain, with two other domains on his southern side. After the suppression of the rebellion, he was promoted to Viscount at the conferment of honors and came to rule most of the former Hiyorimi domain.

He is from the family home of Takuhir's mother (Chris), and many in his clan can use Earth Magic as their bloodline magic. He was raised by his much older sister (Chris) as if she were his mother, and he has a weak position against her, unable to defy her. He actively dispatches mages to various locations to support public works, thereby earning income, but on the battlefield, he often plays a supporting role, such as in camp construction, and has been called "the shadow of the battlefield."

It is said that in the past, his domain was the home of the "Earth Clan," rich in mineral resources, but it no longer retains its former appearance, and the domain is managed with a focus on agricultural production.

Baron Creitz, Baron Bold, Baron Herald

Barons under Margrave Hastburg, they, like Viscount Kirias, rule the territories on the eastern side of the border. Compared to a normal baronial domain, their domains are vast and border the demon territory, so their soldiers are formidable and their mobilization power is high.

On the battlefield, they often move as subordinates of Viscount Kirias, and though they are not blessed with many opportunities to stand out, their steady work is recognized by the Margrave.

----------

Royal Capital

----------

Current King Kyle

The current king of the Kyle Kingdom, which has continued for over 500 years. He inherited the throne at a young age and has been king for 16 years. He was originally the youngest son and third in line to the throne, but he became king due to the customs of succession.

As the qualification for kingship, he possesses the "Appraisal" ability passed down from the first King Kyle, but it has deteriorated over the generations, and his ability is now only to the extent that he can tell the type of magic and its user when it is activated.

He inherited the throne as the youngest son, and as a result of the previous king entrusting domestic administration to the powerful nobles, he lacked real power to participate in the government from the beginning of his reign. However, thanks to the long-standing efforts of the Royalist faction, who support the king, his power base is gradually solidifying.

Duke Klein von Kraus

The Headmaster of the academy attended by the children of the nobles in the Royal Capital. After the Restorationist faction resigned from their respective public offices, he was tapped for his caution, intelligence-gathering ability, and shrewdness, and he now also serves as Foreign Minister.

Towards Takuhir, he acts on His Majesty's wishes, observing and guiding him, but there are also signs that he is deliberately playing the part of an untrustworthy adversary.

Count Gouras von William

The Commander of the knightly order based in the Royal Capital. He stands at the pinnacle of the 30,000 Royal Knights, and his swordsmanship is at the "Sword Saint" rank, the highest in the kingdom. He is the second son of the Count Gouras house, but he holds the title of count while serving as the Knight Commander.

As a close attendant of His Majesty the King, he bears the role of liaison with Takuhir and the others, but as a result, he is often pulled in different directions and has an aspect of a long-suffering man.

Furthermore, the House of Gouras is a family that has been active as a knightly order since the time of the Kyle Kingdom's founding, and has produced successive corps commanders and knight commanders. It is also said that the family name originated from a misunderstanding by the first King Kyle, and there is an anecdote that this became the impetus for the kingdom to have its own system of clan names.

Corps Commander Hoffman

The Corps Commander entrusted with the 10,000 riders of the Royal Knights Second Corps. His personality is "bold and magnanimous," and he is a "muscle-head" who emphasizes charging. After becoming acquainted with Takuhir in the battle on the eastern border, he has come to recognize him and greatly values his high abilities.

Corps Commander Schultz

The Corps Commander entrusted with the 10,000 riders of the Royal Knights Third Corps. His abilities are high, and he was promoted to Corps Commander at a young age. Under the orders of the Knight Commander, he was the first in the Royal Knights to adopt the crossbow and has a flexible way of thinking, such as requesting instruction from the mages under Takuhir's command.

----------

Restorationist Faction

----------

Marquis Aquarato

Heir to the bloodline of the heads of the 12 clans of the Kyle Kingdom, inheriting the Water Clan. Former Foreign Minister.

Marquis Ignisurt

Heir to the bloodline of the heads of the 12 clans of the Kyle Kingdom, inheriting the Fire Clan. Former Minister of Military Affairs.

Marquis Thorhast

Heir to the bloodline of the heads of the 12 clans of the Kyle Kingdom, inheriting the Thunder Clan. Former Minister of Commerce.

Marquis Cocyst

Heir to the bloodline of the heads of the 12 clans of the Kyle Kingdom, inheriting the Ice Clan. Former Minister of Finance.

Count Goyoku (Executed)

As a count belonging to the Restorationist faction with a domain in the south, he held influence over the neighboring viscount and baron houses. His character was called "a petty villain with no talent for anything but greed," and he led a rebellion that did not match his own capacity. After being defeated, he was executed.

As a result of his own greed and jealousy being skillfully manipulated by Viscount Hiyorimi, he led a rebellion of such a scale that it was etched into the kingdom's history, and he left behind anecdotes for posterity as a traitor.

Viscount Gogan (Killed in action)

A relative of Count Goyoku by marriage, a viscount house that was mentioned in the same breath as Gorman. His personality was a mirror image of Count Goyoku's, and they were in a state of mutual dislike.

During the rebellion, he was given command of a decoy unit with no prospect of glory, but he provoked the Hastburg Margrave's army, was unilaterally attacked and defeated, and vanished like dew on the battlefield in the process.

----------

Eastern Region (Borderlands)

----------

Margrave Hamish

As the Margrave entrusted with the defense of the eastern border, he is a powerful figure in the field, second only to Margrave Hastburg. The nobles under the Margrave's command are inferior in terms of military strength compared to the southern border, as their domains are less prosperous.

He is a member of the Royalist faction, but he deceives those around him by acting as if he is overly conscious of and competing with Margrave Hastburg. He struggled against the longbow-centric Istoria Imperial Kingdom army, and was defeated more than once, losing his border fortress.

On the battlefield, he highly valued Takuhir's strategies from the first battle, and thereafter, he gave him free rein, treating him as a de facto chief of staff, which led to the kingdom's army's great victory. After the war, in the Royal Capital, he has come to value him highly, even asking Margrave Hastburg to have Takuhir as his chief of staff, and he is paying close attention not only to large purchases of arms but also to his future policies.

Count Model

A powerful noble with a domain in the eastern part of the Kyle Kingdom. He is highly regarded for his abilities and currently holds the position of Minister of Military Affairs. His domain produces many cavalry horses and was quite rich, so he commands a large number of cavalry.

He originally belonged to the Restorationist faction and was second in status only to the four leaders, but after Takuhir saved his life on the eastern border, he has changed his way of thinking to the point that he openly says, "I died once and was reborn." Not only on the battlefield but also after the war, he has actively supported Takuhir.

Baron Bauner

The head of a baronial house under Margrave Hamish in the eastern border region. As his second son, Alexis, is on friendly terms with Takuhir, he is sometimes dispatched as a liaison, acting on Margrave Hamish's wishes. He holds Takuhir in high regard and is trying to adopt his strategies and governance in his own domain.

Bauner von Alexis

The second son of the House of Baron Bauner and one of Takuhir's few friends at the Royal Capital's academy. He was originally in the knight training course, but when the mage combat training course was newly established, he transferred to it. He has a personality that gets along with everyone, regardless of their noble status, and is nonchalant and unpretending.

He became acquainted with Takuhir and his group on the eastern border, and for his military service at that time, he was ennobled as a Baronet. He wields Wind Magic, his family's bloodline magic, and is expected to be active under Takuhir's command after graduation.

----------

Other

----------

Unidentified

The one who manipulates the Dark Clan and plots the ruin of the kingdom and the restoration of the Dark Clan that lies beyond. Their companions call them "Revered One" or "Master," but it is unknown if they are an old man. They disguise themselves for the sake of their schemes and appear in the Empire or the Imperial Kingdom, and their footwork is abnormally light.

----------

Gryphonia Empire

----------

Glorious von Gryphonia

The First Prince of the Gryphonia Empire, he is on bad terms with the Third Prince, with whom he is contending for the throne. His mother is from a ducal house and is the legal wife, so he has many supporters among the high nobility. He is considerably behind the Third Prince in terms of obtaining sufficient military achievements to be worthy of the Imperial succession, as per the Empire's customs.

In the battle known as the Southern Gate Bloody Battle, despite having prepared a strategically overwhelmingly advantageous situation, he suffered a total collapse of his army due to a tactical defeat in one phase, and as a result, suffered a historic defeat. He is aiming for a reversal in the succession war by clearing his name from the previous war in a rematch with the Kyle Kingdom and by achieving merits that surpass those of the Third Prince in the south.

Grat von Gryphonia

The Third Prince of the Gryphonia Empire, he is on bad terms with the First Prince, with whom he is contending for the throne. Unlike the First Prince, who has a support base among the high nobility, he is popular with the lower nobles and commoners. His subordinates are loyal and formidable, but it is a source of trouble for him that they are a "muscle-headed" group.

He was unable to gain General Weiss, whom he should have obtained, due to Takuhir's historical revision, but in his place, he gained Sieghart as his strategist in this world and has turned his situation around all at once. Thanks to that, the war with the Sura Duchy is progressing smoothly, and he is on the verge of obtaining sufficient military achievements to decide the Imperial succession. He was not a warmonger to begin with, and places importance on the defense of his homeland, and is unenthusiastic about invading the Kyle Kingdom.

Duke Harry

A powerful figure who holds strong influence within the Empire and a major voice in the Imperial court. He supports his son-in-law, the First Prince. He demonstrates his skill in schemes and court struggles, and is warily called "the big old fox" by the Third Prince.

Even in a disadvantageous situation, he has not given up on the First Prince's succession to the throne, and as a result of his various schemes, in both the previous and current history, he plots a grand invasion of the Kyle Kingdom, which is said to be the worst-case scenario.

Viscount Sieghart von Kämpfer

He originally showed no interest in politics or military affairs, and spent his days reading and riding horses, much to the exasperation of those around him. Following his father's sudden death, he inherited the barony, he claims reluctantly, and accompanied Count Astley to war. Receiving the Count's trust, he supported the Imperial army, which was collapsing in defeat to the Kyle Kingdom, and contributed greatly to the escape of his allies.

Despite his great achievements, he was blamed for the defeat due to Duke Harry's schemes and was imprisoned. He was then discovered by the Third Prince and promoted to Viscount after being selected as a strategist and corps commander.

Few, in either the Empire or the kingdom, know the true worth of this man who appears, at first glance, to be weak-willed and nonchalant. His strategies, which manipulate everything as if it were a game on a board while considering the war situation in several countries, and his tactical bargaining are feared by both friend and foe who know his true worth.

Baron Dulr

The head of a baronial house belonging to Marquis Bradley. He was seriously wounded during the attack on Teigoon and became a prisoner of war. He has high self-esteem and is prone to misunderstandings—in other words, he has a rather 'cringey' personality, but he is also overly serious and has a side that is hard to hate.

He returned to the Empire in a prisoner exchange and, in the Third Prince's faction, began to practice the kindness he had received in Teigoon. He pushed for reforms in the logistics department and prisoner-of-war camps, contributed greatly to improving the morale of his own soldiers and easing the animosity of the enemy combatants, and supported the advance of the southern front from the shadows.

Count Astley

As a member of the First Prince's faction, he participated in the Southern Gate Bloody Battle, served as the dangerous rearguard in the final battle, and not only saved his routing allies but also achieved a great victory locally, suffering almost no losses to his own army.

However, that was due to the command of his nephew, Baron Kämpfer, and not his own ability. After the war, due to Duke Harry's schemes, he was accused of being late to the final battle, and his domain was confiscated. He has since returned to service in the Third Prince's faction, through his nephew, who has become a viscount.

Margrave Goth (Killed in action)

A powerful figure in the Gryphonia Empire's First Prince faction, his troops, centered on the Iron Cavalry, boasted of their formidability. Having suffered a crushing defeat in the Southern Gate annihilation battle, he deeply resented Darek, who had created the opportunity for it, and as a result, in the next Southern Gate Bloody Battle, he repeated reckless charges just to clear his name, and self-destructed. As all his soldiers, including the head of the house and his heir, were annihilated, his family line was severed and his domain was confiscated as an Imperial direct domain.

Marquis Bradley (Killed in action)

He was a powerful figure in the Gryphonia Empire's First Prince faction, but he died in battle along with many of his soldiers in the battle to capture Teigoon. His remaining soldiers were attacked by monsters while fleeing through the demon territory, and as a result of luring them back to the main camp, they led to the collapse of the entire army. He was held responsible for sealing their defeat, his family line was severed, and his domain was confiscated as an Imperial direct domain.

In the "previous history," he was stationed in Est as a member of the invading army, and out of resentment for being unable to plunder, and at the instigation of the Dark Clan, he ignored Corps Commander Weiss's intentions and was the one who executed Takuhir.

As a historical irony, his ancestors were said to have known the demon territory well and to have expanded their power by developing it, and he became a clan that rose by the demon territory and was destroyed by it. It is also said that he had a fateful connection with the first King Kyle.

Cardinal Castro

A descendant of church officials who once immigrated to the Istoria Imperial Kingdom, his ancestors were from the Kyle Kingdom. To revive the fallen church, he accepted the Dark Clan's proposal and sold the secret of mage excavation to the Imperial Kingdom. As a result, he was promoted to the high rank of Cardinal in the Imperial Kingdom and continues to be entrusted with the excavation of mages.

On the border with the Kyle Kingdom, from a position of absolute advantage, he suffered a major defeat due to Takuhir's strategy, and after the war, he was held responsible for the defeat and has been imprisoned.

Imperial King

The Pope and Imperial King of the Istoria Imperial Kingdom, who promoted Cardinal Castro. He has rendered the fallen royal family a mere figurehead, and for generations, the Pope has stood as the Imperial King, and the church's power has ruled the kingdom dictatorially.

The current Imperial King showed the Holy Mages' magic to the populace as his own miracle, strengthening his rule. He is the one who brainwashed the populace of the Imperial Kingdom into deifying the mages as "Divine Messengers," messengers of God, and he himself wields absolute power as the one who stands above those Divine Messengers.

Dark Clan Infiltrator

One of those who instigates and manipulates Cardinal Castro from the shadows. After the defeat in the war with the Kyle Kingdom, he has gone underground, and his activities are currently unconfirmed.

Wind Mage

In the battle with the Kyle Kingdom, he was bathed in the enemy's "pepper weapon," was overcome, and was rescued by a nearby soldier. Due to that experience, he has since been unable to eat any spicy food.
