【Runa's POV】
The weather gradually
turned cloudy.
I held Akana-san's
body again and jumped onto the roof of the building next door.
"You're not
getting away."
As expected, Faith
crouched down, trying to close the distance, but as I jumped, I deployed and
floated multiple orbs of light, sending them toward Faith. Before Faith could
step forward, the orbs collided, causing an explosion. Once again, a silent
gray smoke covered the area.

However, I already

explosion, Faith stepped forward and emerged from the smoke.
As I jumped from
building to building along the road, Faith chased after me at a considerable speed
on the stone road.
I deployed a long,
vertical rectangular stone wall using magic to block Faith's path. However,
Faith shattered the stone wall with a swing of his greatsword and tried to
continue forward.
Just as I expected.
Therefore, as I deployed
the stone wall, I had created a ball of light next to the wall, hidden from
Faith's vision. It wasn't the exploding light ball I had been creating earlier.

As expected, Faith
shattered the stone wall and chose to move forward, even though his vision was
blocked by the wall. That was his fatal mistake.
I released the
concentrated light all at once.
An amount of light
that far exceeded the tolerance limit entered Faith's eyes, temporarily
blinding him. He reflexively covered his eyes with the arm that wasn't holding
his sword, but there was nothing he could do about the light that had entered
his eyes. This gave me an opening.
I jumped from the
rooftop of the building onto the stone road with Akana-san in my arms, landing
slightly in front of Faith. At the same time, I raised my free arm and pointed
my index finger upwards. I activated my magic.
The stones that made
up the road around Faith rose up at once, lifting him into the air.
"Whoa"
Faith floated
helplessly, but there was already a huge, misshapen rock made of joined stones
that I had created while running, waiting for him.
By moving my index
finger downwards, causing the rock to smash down on Faith, who was floating up.
The raised stone road was shattered by the falling Faith, and dust clouds
swirled.

to the sky. The sky was completely covered in clouds and was dark.

I retreated again to
put some distance between us.
The fire was still
burning fiercely at the point where the lightning struck, and gray smoke was
rising vigorously.
After the explosion,
physical attack, and the lightning strike───surely one of them must have worked.

Akana-san and I
