The 76th day since my reincarnation was a terrible day. I vomited repeatedly in the carriage. Being nursed by Anneliese wasn't bad, but it was still the worst day.

During the journey to the royal capital, Bachus kept bothering me relentlessly. I was fed up with his constant "Dwarf-Killer" toasts, but I felt like I had grown stronger in my tolerance for alcohol. Still, I couldn't keep up with Bachus's drinking style. Bachus would have a drink upon waking, drink while riding in the carriage, and drink during meals. I wanted to tell him to stop messing around, that bastard.

And so, we finally arrived in the royal capital on the 87th day since my reincarnation. Nothing eventful happened along the way, so we arrived on schedule. I was finally in the royal capital, but Kerniff was apparently still considered good. Nobles from distant places apparently took about two months to reach the capital. Just how far away were they...?

On the way from Kerniff to the royal capital, I experienced New Year's for the first time in this world. There was no special banquet or celebration. I just remembered sitting bored in the carriage from the 30th day of the 12th month to the 1st day of the 1st month.

Bachus, however, had a banquet every day. I wished he would consider my situation, having to accompany him. The Duke and his party were happy to have found a good drinking companion and pushed Bachus onto me. For this, I intend to repay him someday. He'd better be prepared.

The largest city in this Oda Kingdom is, needless to say, the royal capital Margas. Its population of 250,000 surpasses Kerniff's. This royal capital also has a dungeon. I heard that a mass spawning of monsters has been confirmed in several dungeons throughout the Oda Kingdom, including the royal capital's dungeon. They performed the Hero Summoning because if they left it alone, the monsters would be unleashed onto the surface.

However, the heroes they were expecting apparently hadn't grown much. The heroes and their comrades had reportedly conquered the 4th floor of the dungeon and reached the 5th. I could only scratch my head, wondering how they were still on the 5th floor when I, with no support, had already conquered the 7th-floor boss.

It seems the party exploring the 5th floor is led by Itsuki Mizusawa. To be honest, the name Itsuki Mizusawa doesn't ring a bell. He's probably a classmate who didn't get involved with me. I also didn't pay much attention to my classmates, so I only knew about half their names.

Furthermore, Shinji Akaba's party had apparently fallen apart and split into three parties. Is it correct to say that Hayate Uchida and Sadao Tsuchii led their members and became independent from Shinji Akaba's party? It doesn't matter either way, but I remember these three names well. Especially Shinji Akaba's name.

Shinji Akaba was reportedly exploring the dungeon alone. Why did this happen? Probably because he was a tyrant. He did whatever he wanted even when he was in Japan. His father was a Diet member, and his grandfather was the president of a major company, so no one dared to defy him.

Parents are supposed to scold their children when they misbehave, but Shinji Akaba's parents didn't scold him. On the contrary, they used their power to cover up his misdeeds. They would act humbly and bow during elections, but apparently, they were doing all sorts of bad things behind the scenes.

I don't care about the Heroes. I have no intention of getting involved with them.

It was the 88th day since my reincarnation. The Duke seemed busy, but I had free time on my hands.

We were staying at the Duke's mansion. It was a large mansion right next to the castle, like a palace where royalty lived. Most nobles under the Duke's command, except for those who owned their own mansions, stayed at the Ducal mansion. Perhaps because of this, the Ducal grounds had several annexes. We were renting one of these annexes, and it was still quite large. It was slightly smaller than my mansion in Kerniff, but still huge.

I decided to go sightseeing in the royal capital. We went into town by carriage and looked around. I saw Golteo Trading Company's main store in the capital, so I decided to stop by. It was a larger store than the one in Kerniff. As expected of the main store.

"Welcome!" A female employee with brown hair and a good figure immediately approached me upon entering. This was the same as in Kerniff. Their staff training must be thorough.

"I just arrived in the capital. Is there anything popular recently?" I asked.

"In that case, how about soap? It's our best-selling product recently," the female employee replied.

"Soap!?" No way, there's soap? I asked the nobles in the ducal territory, and they didn't even know what soap was. To encounter it in the royal capital...! This has to be related to the Heroes, no doubt.

"Is something wrong?" the employee asked.

"No, nothing. Can you show me the soap?" I requested. The female employee showed me. It was solid soap, about the size of a fist, sold in wooden boxes. It smelled like the soap in a famous blue box. Looking further, they even sold shampoo and conditioner. Was this a treasure trove!?

"Do you plan to stock this at the Kerniff store as well?" I asked.

"Yes. We are having it produced with that intention," she replied. That's a stroke of luck!

"I'll take 30 of these soaps and 10 each of the shampoo and conditioner," I stated.

"Thank you!" The female employee, with a good figure but plain features, smiled.

"Is there anything else popular?" I inquired.

"How about some demonic swords that recently arrived?" she offered.

"Demonic swords, huh... Show them to me for now," I replied. I followed the female employee, and there, I saw familiar demonic swords. They were the demonic swords I had enchanted.

"These demonic swords have an unknown creator. Therefore, they are cheaper than other demonic swords," she explained. Yeah, I know. Golteo-san told me that.

"I already have that demonic sword, so no thanks," I said.

"Oh, no. Not at all. I apologize for not being able to assist you," she replied. She would probably be disappointed if I left empty-handed. So, I decided to buy Anneliese a dress.

"This color will surely enhance your beautiful golden hair," the employee suggested, holding up a pale pink dress. Anneliese looked beautiful in anything, but since it was a cute dress, I decided to buy it.

"Is it really okay to buy such a beautiful dress?" Anneliese asked.

"I think it suits Anneliese very well. Don't you agree, employee-san?" I asked.

"Yes. It suits her wonderfully," the female employee replied, her business smile in full effect (laughs).

"Can you adjust this for her?" I asked.

"Understood," she replied. The female employee and Anneliese went into the fitting room.

"Toi-sama. How does it look?" Anneliese asked, showing herself in the dress with a blush. It was simply beautiful. It suited Anneliese's golden hair and her fair skin. Her neckline was a bit open, which made me worry about men's gazes, but it suited her so well that I had no complaints.

"Not only Lady Anneliese's beauty, but the underwear underneath was also truly splendid. I never imagined such underwear would be popular in Kerniff!" the female employee exclaimed excitedly. I expected the royal capital's store to carry the underwear eventually. Regardless of the people here, the Heroes should approve. In fact, I wondered why the Heroes hadn't made this underwear themselves.

They made soap, but why didn't they make underwear? Could it be related to their jobs? I wished someone would make flush toilets. And showers too. I wondered if someone could make those somehow.

"Can you find two more dresses for me?" I asked.

"Understood!" the female employee's voice went up an octave.

"I—" Anneliese began to refuse, but I stopped her.

"I want to buy them for you," I said, and chose the dresses. All of them suited Anneliese well.

While Anneliese was choosing dresses, I wandered around the store. When I wanted to look around alone, my Assassin job's Stealth skill was convenient. That's when I saw her. Sayaka Itsukushima.

She looked significantly thinner. She also had dark circles under her eyes. She looked very tired. Were the Heroes and the country being too demanding? Was she alright?

"Um..." a voice said.

"Oh, Itsukushima-sama. Welcome. Please come this way," a somewhat important-looking male employee said, leading her to the back. I followed too.

She was led into a private room, where she sat facing the employee.

"Soap, shampoo, and conditioner are selling well. Potions are also selling steadily," the employee cheerfully informed her. It seemed she was the one who made the soap. Her job was Alchemist, and she was reportedly wholesaling potions and other items to Golteo Trading Company. Because of that connection, she apparently frequented the store.

"I brought this today. I hope it sells," Itsukushima-san said, placing a bottle of red liquid on the table.

"Allow me to appraise it," the employee said, picking up the bottle. I also used Detailed Appraisal to take a look... Oh, this is interesting. Could Alchemy really make something like this?

"I've never heard of nitroglycerine before, but it explodes when it receives an impact, doesn't it...?" the employee murmured, carefully placing the bottle down. His hand was trembling.

"I think it would be good for fighting monsters," Itsukushima-san explained.

"But if it explodes while you're carrying it..." Detailed Appraisal warned that it was unstable and shouldn't be shaken much. Of course, the employee would be put off. Itsukushima-san must have been brave to even think of carrying such a thing. And even more so for making it.

"I'm currently experimenting with stabilizing it. I think I can make something good," Itsukushima-san added.

"Everything Itsukushima-sama has brought us so far has been good. We look forward to your next creation," the employee replied. He didn't say he would buy it. As expected of a merchant.

Itsukushima-san left looking dejected. She should try her best, as it seems it would sell if she could stabilize it. But I hoped she wouldn't regret it later, like Nobel, who invented dynamite.

I believe dynamite was stabilized by soaking nitroglycerin into diatomaceous earth, wasn't it? That liquid, nitroglycerine, might also be stabilized with diatomaceous earth, but should I tell her that...? I'm Toi now. What should I do?

I thought about it at the accessory counter. If there are magic item accessories, can I enchant those accessories? I'll try it. Even if it fails, Anneliese would look good in any accessory.
