[WN] Hidden Reincarnated Hero : Chapter 65

065 Royal Capital Dungeon Quick Run

It was the 73rd day since my reincarnation. I returned to the Duke's mansion and immediately decided to use the soap. Even as an annex of the Duke's mansion, it was still a noble's residence, so it had a bath!

"Anneliese. Let's take a bath!" I said.

"Yes, I'll accompany you," she replied. I hummed a tune as I took off my clothes in the changing room.

I had properly prepared soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

"Sit here," I instructed.

"Yes," Anneliese replied, sitting on the bath chair, looking curious as to what I was about to do.

"I'll pour hot water over you," I said.

"I can do it myself," she replied.

"It's fine, it's fine," I insisted, pouring hot water over Anneliese's body.

First, the soap. When I rubbed the soap with a towel, it lathered up. I enveloped Anneliese's body in soft, white foam.

"This is... it feels good," she murmured.

"This is foam that cleans your body. But you can't eat it, okay?"

"Yes," she replied. After washing her back, it was time for her breasts. I washed the underside of her ripe, voluminous breasts in a circular motion. Sometimes Anneliese would make a sensual sound, which made my son very energetic.

Having successfully "climbed the highest peak" of her breasts, I was in ecstasy!

"M-master..." Anneliese placed her hands on my arm, but she didn't show any displeasure.

Next, from her armpits down to her waist and then to her buttocks. I also gently washed that area.

"Now it's my turn," Anneliese offered.

"Yeah, please do," I replied. Anneliese's service was indescribable. It was, simply put, heaven. I thought I might just ascend to another plane of existence right there.

We also washed each other's hair. Anneliese said her hair was long, so it was hard for her to wash it herself. Then we conditioned her hair.

"My skin seems to have gotten whiter! And my hair feels stronger!" Anneliese exclaimed. While soaking in the bathtub, Anneliese praised the soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

She praised them with gestures, causing her breasts to jiggle quite a bit. If Itsukushima-san hadn't made this 3-piece set, I wouldn't have been able to witness this wonderful sight. I clasped my hands in gratitude.

After getting refreshed, it was time to enchant accessories. I had bought earrings and rings. My Item Box's quick-equip didn't have a slot for rings. But that didn't mean I couldn't wear rings; it just meant there was no quick-equip slot for them.

The earrings had white spheres like pearls, but these spheres were apparently processed magic stones called "magic crystals." They weren't enchanted with any particular effects, so they were treated as mere accessories. Earrings come in a set of two. Could I enchant each individual earring, or would I enchant the set?

First, I applied Enchant: Hard to one of them.

"..." It seemed to have worked. Its durability increased. Alright, so far so good. I'd probably succeed from now on too. The question was what effect to enchant and with what?

"Oh, right, I had that," I murmured, recalling the magic I learned at Enchanter Lv35.

"Enchant: Resist Poison," I chanted. It was a success. It properly gained poison resistance. However, I only enchanted one earring, but Detailed Appraisal showed it as a set of two. It seemed I couldn't enchant just one item in a set.

I enchanted other accessories as well. Since my Item Enchant proficiency was still low, the effects probably wouldn't be huge, but they weren't completely ineffective either.

·        Minor Poison Resistance Earrings: Gains resistance to minor poisons. Durability 7/7.

·        Mana Earrings: Gradually recover MP. Recovery amount 10 MP per minute. Durability 8/8.

·        Magic Resistance Necklace: MDEF value +25 points. Durability 7/7.

·        Thought Necklace: INT value +10 points. Durability 8/8.

·        Strong Arm Bracelet: STR value +10 points. Durability 12/12.

·        Thought Bracelet: INT value +10 points. Durability 11/11.

This was good. My Item Enchant proficiency was still low, so this was all I could do for now, but as it increased, I should be able to enchant better effects.

I'd have Anneliese use the Minor Poison Resistance Earrings and the Thought Bracelet. With the Witch's Necklace I received from the Duke, her accessory slots were now filled.

The Mana Earrings and Thought Necklace would be good for Solidia.

The Magic Resistance Necklace for Gandarvan... It was a necklace with a small jewel on a gold chain, so it should be fine for a man. I think.

The Strong Arm Bracelet for Rosalina. I'll make sure all the front-liners get one of these.

Bracelets are fine, but earrings and necklaces are a bit embarrassing for men's equipment. I'll ask next time if they can make earrings and necklaces with designs for men.

It was the 89th day since my reincarnation. Today, I decided to enter the royal capital's dungeon. It seemed I still had some time before receiving my reward, so it should be fine.

The royal capital's dungeon is called the Joruz Labyrinth. I was fully armed and headed to the Explorer's Guild to gather information from the staff, but there wasn't much useful information. The Explorer's Guild's stance was to simply buy the booklet.

I purchased the booklet and headed straight to the dungeon. The royal capital's dungeon was, surprisingly, inside a building. The entrance to the dungeon, a distortion of black space, remained unchanged. The entrance used to be outside the royal capital, but as the city grew, the area around the dungeon entrance was developed. At that time, they apparently enclosed the entrance with a building. Aside from safety, having a dungeon entrance within the city was convenient.

Passing through the entrance, another world unfolded.

"Is this a jungle...?" It wasn't a confined space like the Kerniff dungeon. Although there was a sense of oppression from the overgrown trees, it felt like a rainforest where you could sense negative ions... No, you couldn't. It was still a rainforest inside a cave, though. The trees weren't very thick. Nor were they very tall. But there were many of them, making it impossible to walk straight.

"Bath. Take the shortest route," I instructed.

"Understood," he replied. Bath, as an Adventurer, had the Movement Route skill. With this, we could proceed to the boss room via the shortest route.

According to the booklet I bought at the guild, there were no traps on the 1st floor. The booklet also contained a map, but it was too crude to be called a proper map. It was better to have Bath lead the way.

I set my main job to Assassin and my sub-job to Explorer. I used the Disguise skill to make my job appear as Sword Master, and then we proceeded.

The monsters that appeared on the 1st floor were Green Snakes. Green Snakes were difficult to spot when blended with the green of the trees, making ambushes common.

"A Green Snake on the branch of the tree to the left," Anneliese said, sensing its magic. I had noticed it too, but I let Anneliese point it out.

It would be quite dangerous for Villagers who have just become explorers to be ambushed, but it was no problem for us to be ambushed. In the first place, Green Snakes at Level 1 or 2, which had no poison or special attacks, couldn't damage us.

The Green Snake was on a tree branch forming a tunnel. It was hidden by the green leaves and very hard to spot. It was about 1 meter long, but its body was quite thick for its length. It wasn't large enough to swallow a human, but if it wrapped its thick body around a rookie's neck, they might not survive.

Whoosh! Bath's arrow hit the Green Snake. It fell to the ground and vanished. The arrow remained, so we collected it to use again. The drop item was green snake skin. The arrows currently being used weren't enchanted. It seemed they thought enchanted arrows were a waste on Level 1 monsters.

We proceeded at a brisk pace and reached the boss room. The Green Snakes that appeared were instantly killed. Two parties were waiting in line in front of the boss room. We took a short break here.

What was supposed to be a short break turned into a wait of nearly two hours. The explorers who went in before us must have been having a tough battle. We instantly killed the boss with one thrust from Lin and then proceeded to the 2nd floor.

The monsters on the 2nd floor were Green Snakes and Rampaging Boars. Their levels ranged from 3 to 6. We dashed through the 2nd floor as well. I wanted to reach the 4th floor today. So, we moved quickly.

We also dashed through the 3rd floor. However, I stopped everyone midway.

"There's a treasure chest reaction over there," I said. It was still quite far, but there was no mistake.

"It's been a while since we found a treasure chest," I mused.

"It's good if you can find one treasure chest a year," Anneliese said, sounding exasperated. Her exasperated face was also beautiful.

"We have an Explorer and an Adventurer. The treasure chest discovery rate should be higher," I argued. The Explorer has the Treasure Hunt skill, and the Adventurer has the Wide-Area Search skill. While my detection range is wider due to the difference in proficiency, Wide-Area Search is convenient because it detects monsters, traps, and human presences in addition to treasure chests. However, Wide-Area Search is an active skill, so it's a hassle to activate it regularly.

We proceeded to the location where the treasure chest should be.

"This is terrible," Gandarvan and the others muttered, speechless. I was also dumbfounded.

"A treasure chest surrounded by a poisonous swamp, that's no laughing matter (laughs)," I chuckled, trying to hide my exasperation. It was a treasure chest protected by a malevolent swamp; it was so bad I could only laugh. If you enter a poisonous swamp, you're guaranteed to be poisoned. In a game, I'd heal my HP as it dwindled and keep going, but I certainly didn't have the courage to do that in real life.

The distance to the treasure chest was about 30 meters. I had Enchant: Resist Poison, but I didn't feel like advancing since I didn't know the depth of the swamp.

"Master Toi. Could you please leave this to me?" Anneliese offered.

"Do you have a plan?" I asked. Anneliese nodded firmly. I decided to leave it to her.

"Mana Hand!" Anneliese chanted. A translucent hand slowly extended. I see, so she's going to open the treasure chest with that hand. But would it reach 30 meters? It seemed possible, as her MP naturally recovered with the Source of Magic skill, and Anneliese had a considerable amount of MP.

Mana Hand reached the treasure chest and opened its lid. There was no trap. It would have been the worst if the treasure chest itself had a trap despite being protected by poison. I was glad it wasn't a specification designed purely out of malice.

Mana Hand grabbed the contents of the treasure chest and returned.

"That's convenient," I commented.

"But it's difficult to control," Anneliese replied.

"That means Anneliese, who controls it, is amazing. My Anneliese is truly wonderful!" I exclaimed.

"N-not at all..." Anneliese's cheeks flushed crimson, and she wriggled bashfully.

The treasure Mana Hand brought back was a bow.

"This is a good one," I murmured. It was a dark blue bow with crimson lines. Perhaps because it was found in a poisonous swamp, it had a somewhat malevolent feel to it.

Demon Poison Bow: ATK+55 points. Imbues shot arrows with the Poison additional effect. Can increase ATK value by consuming MP. Consumes 1 MP for +1 ATK. Durability 115/115.

"Should we have Bath use this?" I mused. Currently, Bath was the only one who used a bow.

"Is that alright?" he asked.

"If there were other Bowmen, it would be different, but it's fine, right?" I replied.

"But if you sell it, it would fetch a considerable amount of money," Bath pointed out.

"I'm not short on money. Combat strength improvement is more important than that," I explained. Thanks to Enchanter, I could make magic items like demonic swords, so my funds were abundant. Even without magic items, I could earn a fortune by doing boss runs.

We took a slight detour but then dashed through the 3rd floor, easily defeated the boss, and arrived on the 4th floor. Perhaps it was our quick pace, but we arrived on the 4th floor before evening. We then used Dungeon Move to teleport to the 1st floor and exited the dungeon. Dungeon Move is too convenient.
