Volume 7
Heroines
Irisdina Francilt
A young lady of the
Francilt family, an influential figure in the country of Forsina, and a girl
who is seen as the certain next head of the family.
From her glossy black
hair and well-featured appearance, she is well-known not only at the academy
but also in the world of nobility.
She possesses not only
the grace of a young lady but also the dignified face of a future head of the
family.
Having been in the
social circles of the nobility since she was young, she is skilled at reading
people.
Also, because of that,
she is sensitive to the desires and malicious intentions of others, and has
become mature in various ways since she was young.
She feels that her
family is more important than anything else, and she dotes on her blood-related
younger sister in particular.
Although she is a girl
with almost no discernible flaws, she is often seen to be quite flustered when
it comes to her sister or her family.
She met Nozomu through
her younger sister, and after that, their friendship began after he had saved
her beloved younger sister.
Towards Nozomu, who
was not attached to power or other things, she at first felt that he was a good
friend, but she was gradually drawn to him.
That feeling grew day
by day, and when Nozomu went on a rampage in the forest, she even blurted out
words that were like a confession, "Stay by my side!", in front of
many of her comrades.
Now, she is completely
aware of her own feelings of love, and is continuing to make efforts to be able
to stand by the side of him, who has come to bear a strange fate.
However, since she had
never experienced love before, she has also begun to show a girlishness
appropriate for her age, such as feeling a sense of inferiority to Sheena, who
has a contract with Nozomu, and feeling jealous of Nozomu's promise with Lisa.
During the attack by
Azel, her hair was bleached white due to her excessive use of magic power in an
attempt to stop the rampaging Nozomu.
Her favorite animal is
a dog.
Ability: Instant
Deployment
An ability that allows
her to use magic instantly just by thinking, omitting the chant.
The efficiency of
magic deployment with this ability depends on her own thinking ability.
Basically, the power
of the magic deployed with this ability is generally inferior to that of
chant-based or formation-based magic.
However, Irisdina can
use magic with a power that is almost no different from that of chant-based or
formation-based magic.
Sheena Yuriel
An elf girl belonging
to the 3rd year, 2nd rank. She lost her hometown, both her parents, and her
older sister in the great invasion ten years ago.
After that, she went
to Arcazam to reclaim her hometown, the Foschia Forest, and to take revenge on
her family.
Although elves can
master a powerful magic called spirit magic, she had been unable to make a
contract with the spirits since she had lost her hometown in the great
invasion.
Still, for the sake of
her own purpose, she entered Solminati Academy with her outstanding archery
skills and other abilities.
After entering the
academy, she made friends named Tom and Mimuru, but she was still unable to
make a contract with the spirits who had been by her side since she was young.
Her meeting with
Nozomu was when she had saved him from being harassed by some heartless academy
students.
However, she had only
stopped the foolish act of a group assault, and her perception of Nozomu was
that of a hopeless villain.
After that, she
encountered Abyss Grief, the source of her hometown's destruction, in the
forest. She went on a rampage out of revenge and fell into a predicament.
At that time, Nozomu
had cut in, and although she had been able to escape safely, Tom, who had
protected her, had been injured. As a result, she had clashed with Mimuru.
From the self-reproach
of having lost her senses in her desire for revenge, she tried to defeat Abyss
Grief on her own, but for her, who could not use spirit magic, she was
completely helpless.
At that time, she was
admonished by Nozomu, who had come to save her, and made up with Mimuru and the
others who had followed after her. Furthermore, she was able to once again
fulfill her contract with the spirits, which she had been unable to do until
now.
After repelling Abyss
Grief with the help of the spirits' power, she decided in her heart to repay
her debt to Nozomu.
When Nozomu and Mars
clashed over the matter of the corpse dragon, she consulted with Nozomu and
created an opportunity for the two to make up.
Also, she had been
maintaining the magic channel connected by her contract with Nozomu, and had
been supporting the Nozomu who was continuously being interfered with by Tiamat
from the shadows.
Although she had felt
that he was a benefactor towards Nozomu, she became aware of her own feelings
of love from the influence of Mimuru, Irisdina, and the others, the state of
the unconscious Nozomu, and Lisa's single word. Although she was in agony with
shame for a while, she has now decided to support Nozomu as a woman.
Still, it's still
embarrassing when it's pointed out so openly.
Although she does not
have any special abilities, she can communicate with the spirits and can handle
the extremely powerful magic known as spirit magic.
Her archery skills are
also certain, and her movements are light. Incidentally, her grip strength is
so strong that it makes Mimuru writhe in agony.
Lisa Hounds
A red-haired girl who
was Nozomu's childhood friend and was once his lover.
When she was young,
she had moved to Oire Village, which was her mother's hometown, with her
younger sister, and there she had met Nozomu and Ken.
Although she had been
active since she was young and was a leader among the children in Oire Village,
she also had a complex about being an outsider.
At the same time, from
the days she had spent with her father, she had come to admire her deceased
father, and that had become the trigger for her to aim to be an adventurer.
Around the same time,
she was ridiculed by Mujil, who was also a gang leader, for having lost her
father early, and at that time, she had been protected by Nozomu and Ken, and
had told them her dream.
From being encouraged
at that time, she had decided to become an adventurer.
After being protected
from Mujil, she had continued to be conscious of Nozomu, but she had not
noticed Ken's feelings.
After becoming
Nozomu's lover and entering Solminati Academy, for a while, she had devotedly
supported the Nozomu who was desperately trying to become stronger.
However, she was
caught in Ken's cunning scheme and, by calling Nozomu a traitor, she had sealed
his isolation.
After that, she had
started dating Ken out of a broken heart, but since Nozomu's presence was too
great, she had fallen into a state that could be called a phobia of love, and
had become completely unable to have any excessive contact with the opposite
sex, such as kissing.
For the next two
years, although she had seemed to have grown, handling the academy's classes
without any trouble and achieving top-class grades in practical skills, her
heart had remained inward and stagnant.
And that was precisely
what Ken had wished for.
When Nozomu became
aware of his own escapism and began to contact Lisa to settle his past, she
learned that Nozomu's appearance had not changed at all from before, and the
cunning scheme that Ken had set up began to gradually fall apart.
The impatient Ken
caused an assault incident, and she witnessed him trying to frame Nozomu for
the crime.
And from the fact that
the source of everything was Ken, and that he was trying to hurt Somia, using
her own life as an excuse, she rejected him.
In the end, by the Ken
who had been parasitized by Abyss Grief, she was trapped in a predation barrier
and was on the verge of death, but she was rescued by Nozomu's devotion.
However, because of
this, Nozomu had temporarily fallen into a serious unconscious state, and at
the same time, the evaluation from the academy students had reversed at once.
She had come to be hit with heartless words, and this had further cornered her
mentally.
At one point, she was
so exhausted from her self-reproach that she even lost the will to resist the
students who were trying to assault her, but she was brought to her senses by
Irisdina and Sheena and somehow managed to recover.
From then on, she
tried to talk to Nozomu, but at that point, Azel attacked Nozomu.
She attacked Azel to
try and save the cornered Nozomu, but was in turn counterattacked by Azel and
was seriously injured. As a result, it became the trigger for Nozomu to
synchronize with Tiamat's hatred and go on a rampage.
After that, Lisa, who
had been saved by Zonne, struggled against the rampaging Nozomu due to Azel's
fault. Although her long crimson hair was cut off as a result, she succeeded in
bringing Nozomu back to his senses in the end.
And she, who had
understood Nozomu's feelings, had, in order to settle her past and to walk
towards her dream once more, said goodbye to Nozomu while shedding tears.
Ability: Nivei's Demon
Hand
An ability that
doubles the effect of a corresponding magic.
Combined with her own
physical ability, it embodies an outstanding breaking power.
