[WN] A Hero From a Remote Village : Chapter 66

Chapter 66

The New Inn

Translator : PolterGlast

After leaving the cake shop, we finally set about looking for an inn.

I was in an excellent mood after the delicious breakfast, and with a spring in my step, I headed for the eastern side of the city with Ginia.

"Wow, that was really delicious. Thanks again for taking me."

"Not at all! I was the one who asked you to come with me, and I didn't expect you to be so happy about it, Graham-san!"

"Truly, without a word of a lie, that was the best breakfast I've ever had."

"You like sweets!? There are other cake shops I'd recommend and some I'd like to try, so let's go together!"

"Yeah, I'd love to go."

As we discussed our impressions of the cake shop, we arrived at the eastern district of the city in no time.

By the way, Elma Street is in this eastern district.

There are a number of cheap inns in this area, and I had been thinking of moving to this area myself, so I was grateful.

It seems Ginia had done her research thoroughly and was going to show me an inn with great value for the money.

"The first inn is this one! It's called 'The Camellia Inn,' and it's reasonably priced at one silver coin a night, with a private toilet and shower in the room. And most importantly, it's close to Elma Street!"

"A private toilet and shower for one silver coin? What's the room size like?"

"It's quite spacious. I asked beforehand and they said they'd let us see it, so let's go take a look at the room right away."

Her arrangements are perfect.

I had just imagined we'd be looking around at inns together, but she had researched everything much more thoroughly than I had thought.

After Ginia spoke with the elderly shopkeeper, she immediately received the key to a room.

I followed her as she led the way into the room and immediately began to check it out.

"What do you think, Graham-san? It's a pretty spacious room, right?"

"Yeah, it's more than spacious enough. So this is the toilet and shower. It's really nice that the toilet and shower are separate."

"The bed is an actual bed, and there's a table and chair. There's also a closet!"

"The amenities are impeccable. And all this for one silver coin.... To be honest, I want to decide on this place right now."

"However, it doesn't come with any meals. That's the only drawback."

"I'll prepare my own meals, so I don't particularly mind. My cheap inn didn't have meals either."

She showed me the perfect inn right from the start.

It seems she has other recommended inns prepared, but I'm already thinking it's fine to just decide on this one.

"Well then... shall we decide on this place?"

"If you're okay with it, Ginia, I'd like to decide on this place, but... you've gathered information on other inns too, right?"

"I did, but there's no need to look at them for no reason! Besides, I'd be happy if you stayed at this inn, since it's close to Elma Street!"

"I see. If you don't mind, then I'll decide on this inn."

Unbelievably, we decided on the very first one, but it was just too good of an inn.

The price is about three times what I'm paying at my current cheap inn, but my current place is just too cheap, and one silver coin is well within my budget.

We immediately told the elderly shopkeeper that we had decided on the place, and then we left "The Camellia Inn."

All that's left is to tell my old inn I'm leaving and move my luggage.

I don't have much luggage, so there's nothing left for Ginia to help me with.

"I'm glad we decided on the first one!"

"It's all thanks to you, Ginia. Sorry we accomplished our goal so quickly."

"There's nothing to apologize for! Besides... the fact that we finished early means we have free time, right?"

"Hmm? I was planning on spending the whole day looking for an inn, so I'm free, but is there somewhere else you want to go?"

"Yes! I was thinking of getting new combat tools, armor, and equipment... and also a new sword, so if you don't mind, would you come with me? It would be reassuring to have your advice, Graham-san!"

"You helped me find an inn and took me to a delicious cake shop. Of course I'll go with you, if you're okay with me."

"Yay! Thank you!"

Ginia showed a huge smile, clearly delighted.

I'm sure shopping with a geezer like me is boring, but seeing her so happy makes me genuinely happy too.

"If we're going to buy things, should we go to the central street?"

"Let's! It means we'll be heading back, but let's go right away!"

I followed the energetic Ginia, and accompanied her on her shopping trip.

The shops selling combat tools and the armorers selling equipment were a fresh experience for me as well... and more than anything, just shopping with Ginia was fun.

Starting with the cake shop, then deciding on a new inn, and a shopping tour.

Thanks to Ginia, I was able to have the best day off.
