[WN] Three Skills : Volume 2 Chapter 10

Volume 2

Chapter 10

I Came to See Chrisya-san

Translator : PolterGlast

Deep within the Forest Ruins───

Having defeated several golems since then, I had reached the door to the room where Chrisya-san was.

Thanks to Chrisya-san creating two new types of golems in addition to the existing ones, I was able to spend a very productive time. I am truly grateful to Chrisya-san.

Before opening the door, I turned left and entered another room at the end of the hall.

The room was filled with steam, and as I went deeper, I realized the source of the steam. ───It was a bathhouse.

It was a rather large bathhouse for a single person. There were the same curved sculptures found in the ruins, reminding me that I was in a ruin. Despite that, it was the only relaxing space in the ruins.

I went to a platform set up in the corner of the room and began to wash my body using something like soap that was placed there. After washing my entire body thoroughly, I pressed a button attached to the side wall. Then, just as water would come out of a hose, hot water came out of the nozzle prepared above and washed away the foam on me.

After rinsing off all the foam, I pressed the button to stop the hot water and then got into the bathtub.

"………Ahh~"

The hot water I soaked in while stretching my body felt really good. My body warmed up, and I almost fell asleep from the sheer comfort.

After soaking in the bathtub for a while, I left the room and entered the next room. Inside it, several pale blue lights were coming from below, and on top of each one were clothes such as towels and shirts.

I took a towel and wiped the water off my body. Then I took the clothes and put them on───.

I was wearing a black tank top-like garment, a long-sleeved jacket made of white, leather-like material with fluffy fur around the cuffs and hood, and white jeans-like pants underneath.

I left the room. And then, I returned to the door of the room where Chrisya-san was supposed to be───and this time, I opened the door.

I entered the room, momentarily blinded by the light coming from inside.

Inside───as expected, Chrisya-san was sitting with her eyes closed on a four-legged chair in the center of the room.

The floor was completely white and flat, and the walls, although decorated with carvings, were still white, showing her unwavering dedication to the color white.

I approached Chrisya-san and opened my mouth.

"I'm here, Chrisya-san."

Then, Chrisya-san slowly opened her eyelids.

"So... you've come, my kin."

She spoke with dissatisfaction and boredom.

□□□

I smiled bitterly at the words that Chrisya-san threw at me.

"You say that as if I'm doing something wrong. Weren't you the one who told me to come once a month?"

Then Chrisya-san snorted.

"Yeah, I certainly did say that. But just because I said that, it doesn't mean that I have no right to decide how I behave toward you, my servant. And you have no right to say anything bad about me."

"………"

I chuckled bitterly again. She's the same as always.

She only calls me by my name once at the beginning, and her attitude towards me is always cold.

But───

"So?"

Chrisya-san picked up a small round table placed near her chair───a teacup placed on it, and as she twisted her opposite wrist, a chair, a round table, and a teacup appeared in the same way near me as well.

"What kind of story do you have for me today?"

Chrisya-san smiled and looked at me.

Her attitude towards me is cold, but for some reason, she is quite proactive when it comes to my story. I don't quite understand Chrisya-san's sensibilities.

I sat down on the chair prepared for me and then turned back to Chrisya-san.

"Well... this month..."

And so, as usual, I began to talk to Chrisya-san.

□□□

"A riot?"

Chrisya-san repeated my words.

"Yes, the adventurers started a riot against the nobles who ruled the territory."

"Hmph... Even though you are of the same race, you humans can't help but fight against each other pointlessly."

"Ahaha, well, that's definitely the fault of the adventurers. They were supposed to be protesting against the nobles, but they ended up harming the citizens as well. It's counterproductive to hurt the people they're supposed to protect."

"How foolish... As expected, you humans are fools."

"Ahahaha..."

Chrisya-san's evaluation of humans is quite harsh. She doesn't hesitate to criticize.

But, considering that she listens to my story with a smile, she probably doesn't have any particular aversion to listening, even though she doesn't like to look at me.

"Oh, and by the way, I met a very strong Rob. ...Can I even call it a Rob? Well, it looked like a boss, so I guess it's okay."

"Oh? That's interesting. You say it's "strong"?"

"It was amazing. I couldn't withstand any of its attacks."

"───What?"

"And because it was a spirit-like being, I probably couldn't have defeated it without this ring that Chrisya-san gave me. And that guy, I had to land several punches to win───"

"Wait a second."

"───Huh?"

Chrisya-san stopped my story with a serious expression.

"Was that...really a monster?"
