I Entered the
Maze

is it?"
I was lost in the
maze-like corridors of the ruins.
Since then, I've faced
countless golems.
Their shapes and
abilities were not so different from the first golem I encountered, but there were
just so many of them. Unlike the first time when I faced only one, I was
showered with so many light beams that I hardly had time to attack.
But... even though I
was on the receiving end most of the time... But! It was fun.
I would seize the
moments between incoming beams, landing a punch on each one, only to have my
body destroyed by the light beams again and again.
Well, of course, I
would win in the end, but the exhilaration of the moment and the excitement
that followed were what mattered. That indescribable feeling is something I can

So, I kept going
straight down one path.
I subdued all the
golems that came at me, simply proceeding deeper and deeper───and before I knew it,
I had entered this maze-like passage.
"Well... there
were no clues, so I guess I'll just have to rely on my instincts."
Thinking like that, I
placed my hand on my chin and turned left at the dead end.
I kept going until I
reached another dead end, and this time there was only one way to go, to the
right. I followed it and───
"Whoa!?"
The moment I turned
right, the floor I stepped on suddenly lit up, and a tremendous force pushed me
as if I had been pushed from behind.
Taken aback by the
suddenness and unexpected strength of the push, I couldn't resist at all, and
before I knew it, I had arrived in a large hall.
Crash
As soon as I entered
the hall, the entrance to the hall was sealed by a mysterious iron plate that
grew from below.
And in the center of
the square───

A different type of
golem than I had encountered before was standing in the center of the hall.
The gem was slightly
larger than the cores of the other golems, and its lower half had a gold
decoration as if to support it. On either side of the gem, with a small space
between them, were sturdy arms made from an iron-like material, stretching from
the hands to the elbows.
As soon as it
confirmed that I had entered the hall, the gem began to emit a golden light
from its center───at the same time, the
two arms began to float, and they began to open and close their fingers as if
testing the feeling. And then───
"Oh?"
My vision was
obscured.
No, it wasn't just my
vision. My ears, mouth, nose, skull, brain, head, tibia, deltoid, scapula,
arms, ulna and radius, pectorals, rectus abdominis, spine───my entire upper body
was crushed.
I was crushed by one
of the arms, which was probably being manipulated by the golem in front of me,
which flew at a speed of over a hundred kilometers per hour. I wasn't crushed
by the overwhelming weight that was approaching me at super speed. It felt more
like I was annihilated by something that covered the arm before it touched me.
Hmm, I can't quite explain it.
Anyway, let's just say
that there was a thin membrane covering that arm, and that membrane had the
power to annihilate anything it touched.
Yeah, that's good.
I was a little worried
because it was only about half the size of the other golems, but this is
perfect.
So, let's start a fun,
fun killing spree.
My body began to
regenerate.
The spilled blood and
scattered flesh floated and flew back to their original places, filling in the
missing parts.
As soon as my body
finished regenerating, I quickly switched my thoughts and bent my waist into a
combat stance.
I put pressure on the
ball of my foot, and with an incredible speed from the start, I approached the
golem whose gem was completely exposed───clenched my fist, and thrust out my fist with the momentum of
acceleration.
Normally, this punch
would crush my opponent. This punch has crushed any opponent I've ever faced.
So, unconsciously, I thought the same thing would happen this time too.
But this time, what was
missing was───my body.
"Huh?"
As if the gem were
also covered in a membrane of annihilation like the arms, my fist was shaved
off before it touched the gem.
But the impact
generated by punching out doesn't disappear. But the membrane seemed to be able
to erase even the impact, and only the impact that didn't touch the membrane
went straight ahead, scraped the floor, and transmitted the impact to the wall
on the back.
I was so dumbfounded

The golem didn't miss
this opportunity and hit my body directly with its right arm, destroying my
abdomen, and then crushed my remaining upper and lower body with its left arm.

golem.
