Great City of Kerniff
- A large city
with the "Baldark Labyrinth" (Dungeon).
- Population
of 200,000. The second-largest city after the capital.
- The castle
is located on the north side. Wealthy residents live from the north to the
east. The south side, being close to the dungeon, has many explorers. The
west side is where the poor gather. As you enter the west side, buildings
gradually change from stone to wood.
- Aside from
the dungeon, grain and apple production are thriving.
Currency and Prices
- There are 6
types of coins: 1 Grill copper coin, 10 Grill bronze coin, 100 Grill
silver coin, 1,000 Grill gold coin, 10,000 Grill platinum coin, and
100,000 Grill black gold coin.
- 1 loaf of
bread is 8 Grill, 1 apple is 8 Grill, an affordable set meal is 80 Grill,
and a cheap sword is 2,000 Grill.
- Inn lodging
is 300 Grill if cheap, and 600 Grill if you want minimum service.
Record Cards
- When a human
dies, this card naturally emerges from their chest. Criminals' record
cards can be exchanged for money at the government office.
- Living
humans can also have their record cards checked. A skill or magic is
required to do so.
- Name,
gender, age, job, skills, and criminal history can be confirmed.
- The chant
is: "Show forth his karma into the light of day."
- Deceased
individuals' record cards naturally disappear in 1 year. Living
individuals' record cards disappear in 10 minutes.
Slavery System
- Slaves are
divided into controlled slaves, whose actions can be restricted,
and voluntary slaves, whose actions are not restricted. Criminal
slaves fall into the former, and debt slaves fall into the latter.
- Even
voluntary slaves are given restrictions, such as not disclosing their
master's information.
Racial Lifespan
- Humans
(Toi's race) have a lifespan of about 70 years.
- Elves have a
lifespan of about 1,000 years.
- Half-elves
have a lifespan of about 250 years.
- Beastmen's
lifespans vary by species, ranging from 50 to 300 years.
- Dwarves have
a lifespan of about 500 years.
※ Note: May vary
from person to person.
Grimoires
- Items rarely
dropped by dungeon monsters, or sometimes found in treasure chests. The
probability of a monster dropping one is 1 in 10,000. The probability of
finding one in a treasure chest is 1 in 300. Market price ranges from
1,000,000 Grill to 3,000,000 Grill.
- Allows job
change to Mage or Sorcerer. A Sorcerer needs to use
catalysts, but can wield all attributes depending on the catalyst.
- The
probability of becoming a Sorcerer is about 1 in 30.
Demon Lord
- No one knows
the true identity of the Demon Lord. No one has ever met them. It is
believed to exist because it has been said so since ancient times.
Currently, no one is confirmed to have seen it.
- It is said
to create dungeons and spawn monsters.
Weights and Measures
- There are
apparently standardized weights and measures among nobles and merchants.
- Note: The following are commoners'
expressions:
- Length is expressed by human height (e.g., "10 people's
worth").
- Weight is also expressed by humans (e.g., "5 people's
worth").
- There are considerable individual differences.
Magic Contract Scrolls
- Often used
for employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, etc.
- Used by the
country and nobles as well.
- Can be
purchased at Golteo Trading Company, etc.
Toi's Mansion
- Originally
owned by a Baron's family. Approximately 100 years old (renovated).
- On the 3rd
floor, next to Toi's room, there is a servants' waiting room. This room is
unused and serves as storage. There are 5 other spacious rooms (each with
an attached servant room).
- The 2nd
floor contains guest rooms and rooms for senior servants.
- The 1st
floor has a large room like a dance hall, a reception room, a dining room,
a kitchen, and a passage leading to the bathhouse. The bathhouse is in a
separate building. The laundry area is outdoors.
- The basement
contains a wine cellar and a small storage room.
- The garden
has a separate building for servants, as well as a warehouse and stables.
The garden is quite spacious.
- The
servants' annex contains 10-tatami-mat single rooms, 6-tatami-mat
four-person rooms, and 4.5-tatami-mat single rooms. The 6-tatami-mat
four-person rooms have 2 bunk beds and are quite cramped. Four-person
rooms are often used by children like apprentices. 10-tatami-mat rooms can
be used by multiple people if needed.
